Teaching Staff
The teaching staff is the most important component of a Preschool program. Unlike many early childhood programs, our teaching staff boasts very low turn-over. Many of our teachers have more than 15 years of experience here at MCP.
Tracy Albaugh
Tracy Albaugh, the Director at MCP, has been here for 11 years, seven years as a teacher, and six years as our director. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and also has a Pennsylvania Director’s Credential. She is a huge Steeler’s fan and enjoys boating, golf and traveling in her free time. She enjoys spending time with her husband Don, her three children Kierstin, Cameron and Connor, and her three step-children Donny (who is currently serving in the Army in Afganistan), Ashley, and Lindsey.
Pat Clawson
Pat Clawson has been a teacher for 27 years, 18 of which are at the Meadville Cooperative Preschool. She teaches three, four, and five year olds. Pat has an Associates degree in Early Childhood and has 30 credits towards her Bachelors degree. She loves working with young children–she says they keep her young! When she is not teaching at MCP, she enjoys reading, walking, knitting, traveling and collecting sea glass. Pat also enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren that live in Chicago.
Michelle Cybulski
Michelle Cybulski has been at MCP for 31 years, but has been a teacher for 36. She teaches our older children, ages four and five. She has a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Ohio University. In her free time, Michelle enjoys punch needling, crafts, running and the outdoors. Michelle has two daughters; Sarah who lives in Greeneville S.C. and Jennifer who lives in Burlington Flats, NY. She also has two grandsons, Max and Sam.
Amy Miller
Amy Miller teaches children from three to five, and has been a teacher at MCP for 22 years. Amy studied Elementary Education/Early Childhood at Allegheny College and has a BA in English. She enjoys learning about the Civil War (Gettysburg), and the Titanic, and she also enjoys listening to Bob Dylan. A lot. Amy also enjoys reading, gardening, and swimming. Amy loves the enthusiasm with life and learning of small children, she says they keep her mentally young.
Yvonne Schmitt
Yvonne Schmitt has been teaching at MCP for over 20 years. She teaches the three year olds, which are our youngest students. Yvonne graduated from Randoloph E. Mead. High School. She enjoys watching Survivor and Amazing Race and likes to play bingo and cards. During her free time, Yvonne likes to visit antique and gift shops, and cares for her three grandchildren, Bailey Rose, Baylor, and Andrew.
Amy Simcheck
Amy Simcheck has been our After-school teacher for 10 years. She studied Elementary Education and Early Childhood while in college. Amy enjoys reading, going to garage sales and collecting Star Wars items.
Susan White
Susan White has been a teacher at MCP for 24 years and teaches the four and five year olds. She is an E-4 in the United States Air Force. In her spare time, Susan likes to sew, create various needle arts, travel, read and tries to take a long walk everyday. Susan started teaching at the preschool the day her daughter, a MCP alum, started kindergarten. She says she still looks forward to teaching every day!
Mary Stewart
Mary Stewart, who teaches the four and five year olds, has been a teacher here at MCP for 10 years. She has a BS in Human Ecology/Consumer Affairs, and enjoys quilting, reading, and walking in the woods.
Mary Lynn Bartoe
Mary Lynn Bartoe has been a teacher at MCP for 11 years, for a total of over 20 years teaching. She teaches our youngest group of three year olds on MWF, and our oldest group of four & five year olds on T/TH’s. She has a BA in Elementary and Special Education and likes to garden, do needlework, crafts, cook and hike in her spare time. She has three children and aquired two new ones when both her son and daughter got married recently. Her youngest son began college this year.

Linda Prenatt
Linda Prenatt is in her sixth year of teaching at MCP. She teaches our three, four and five year olds. She enjoys reading, sewing and spending time with her family.
Debbie Eger
Debbie Eger has been with us for five years. She has worked in the Kindergarten classroom and with the three, four, and five year olds. She is a graduate of MASH and enjoys Zumba classes and working out a the YMCA. She also enjoys watching HGTV, doing yardwork and landscaping when she isn’t teaching. She has a daughter Tasha, and she enjoys shopping and spending time with her.
Leslie McFadden
Leslie McFadden is our Kindergarten and Pre-K Counts teacher, and has just recently rejoined our teaching staff after 15 previous years with us. Leslie has a BA in Art and Recreation and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, canoeing, reading, travel, photography, gardening and music.
Alyson Carlson
Alyson Carlson is our Business Manager. She has been with the preschool for 13 years. She has a BS in Accounting from Indiana University of PA and likes to travel, walk and cross country ski. She has three children, two on their own and one still in college. She volunteers with the preschoolers at First Christian Church and serves as a board member at the Pregancy Center of Meadville.
